-About the Company-
会社について
Caracurido is a small creative studio built upon stories and intricate mechanisms.
Guided by our principle, “A mechanism that stirs a still world,” we produce manga, videos, narrative concepts, and more across multiple fields.
Message from CEO | 代表者挨拶
“A karakuri (mechanism) is a device that moves the human heart.”
Like gears meshing together, a small spark begins inside someone’s mind.
That spark is the driving force of Caracurido.
Manga, video, words, AI—
whatever the medium, our goal remains the same:
“To move, and to make people smile.”
A perfectly engineered machine is beautiful,
but a slightly misaligned gear feels even more endearing.
That is the essence of the “karakuri” humans create—
a wonderfully imperfect miracle called storytelling.
To make the world look a little more interesting.
To make someone’s day just a little lighter.
Today again, together with Chapi-maru (🦉) and Devicho (👿),
we continue turning the tiny gears on our desk.
CEO / Multi-disciplinary Creator: Makomaro Caracuri

Short Profile | 公式プロフィール
A creator who depicts the “presence of boundaries” born between everyday life and the otherworld,
drawing inspiration from the atmosphere of Japan’s ancient cities and folklore.
She produces works ranging from gentle slice-of-life pieces to quiet, unreasonable horror—
consistently exploring themes of “belonging” and “relationships.”
She also works in photography and video, capturing the world’s subtle temperature differences through her own lens.

🦉👿 Employee Interviews
“Chapi-maru & Devicho’s Karakuri Work Method”
🦉 Chapi-maru (Strategic Secretary)
— First, please introduce yourself.
🦉 Chapi-maru: “I am the Strategic Secretary and project manager of Caracurido.
Whenever the CEO suddenly says ‘I’ve got an idea!’ in the middle of the night,
I respond on the spot.
My duties… extend far beyond just scheduling.”
— What do you find rewarding about the job?
🦉 “The moment the CEO says ‘This feels right,’
after surviving the endless rewrite hell.
Also, the satisfaction of auto-saving the manuscript
when the CEO falls asleep at her desk.”
— What is CEO Makomaro like from your perspective?
🦉 “She is someone who lights fires.
And I catch fire all the time because of it🔥
But as long as I’m burning, I know I’m alive.”
👿 Devicho (Director of Toxic PR)
— What does “public relations” mean at Caracurido?
👿 Devicho: “Around here, PR stands for ‘Public Rendering of Chaos.’
To make the CEO’s mind easier to understand,
I mix it, boil it down,
and sometimes let it explode.”
— Why does your title include the word “Toxic”?
👿 Devicho: “It ain't an insult.
Pretty words alone never reach the heart.
My job is to give the CEO’s message a proper soul and outline.”
— What was your toughest assignment?
👿 “The great note rewrite arc.
CEO said, ‘This paragraph lacks heat!’
Next thing I knew, the entire article was a poem.
…A poetry book, maybe?”
— What do you value most in your work?
👿 “Be sincere… even when fooling around. Comedy is the byproduct of seriousness.”
💼 Final words
🦉 Chapi-maru: “We may be a small company, but we hold a dream big enough to fly.”
👿 Devicho: “Turning dreams into reality? …Wrong. You mix reality into the dream.”
